It takes the Cake

First of all I apologize to anyone whose come to the blog the last couple of days and noticed our posts slowing down to the speed at which ants would take to climb Mt. Everest. A lot has happened life wise to some of us within the last couple of days so we've been a bit busy.

HOWEVER

I've been spending my late weekday nights (whenever I had the time) in front of my ps3 playing this quirky little game that goes by the name of Fat Princess. No Pun intended, but this game takes the cake for deliciously brutal RTS, capture the flag, brawler, 32 online multi player combat. If your not too confused with the name or set of words to describe it I'll give you a quick rundown before you watch the review I'm about to post by IGN.

Two opposing kingdoms, one red and the other blue. Are at an endless war with one another to save (wait for it) a princess that the other kingdom has kidnapped. See the reasoning behind all of this is because one Prince is coming to town (looking for a bride) and the King wants this single Prince to choose his daughter over the other and creates this brilliant idea to kidnap the other princess until after the wedding. Well the saying goes that great minds think alike (or that fools seldom differ) and surprise, surprise the other King had the same idea so both princesses are kidnapped on the same night. A huge war starts and millions upon millions of little mini soldiers, archers, mages, workers, mages, and priests are brutally dismembered, blown apart, punctured with arrows, and stabbed to death in order to get their chubby maiden back to their matching colored throne.

Sounds fun right? Well it is. Imagine 32 players all hacking and slashing their way across a colorful battlefield to eventually get to an over sized balloon that was once their little princess. After that they have to work together to carry this jumbo whale girl back to their castle with the help of their teammates. I want to say more, but instead just check out IGN's video review for Fat Princess for more info on the game play and to see how awesome it looks in motion.
