Is that a phone? Naw man it's my handheld gaming device.

Looks like Sony has decided to remodel the PSP (again*). This time instead of making it a little lighter and speeding up the loading time for games they went all out and made the thing look like a little slider phone. On top of that Sony dropped the UMD drive, popped in a 16gb internal hard drive, made it lighter by 43% and allowed would be users to pop in their existing memory sticks to upp the storage space even further.

All of it sounds good to me, but the real question here is how will support for this digital distribution only game system work? So far Sony has talked about Little Big Planet, Jak & Daxter, a new Metal Gear along with the long awaited release of Gran Turismo for the PSP. Will sony use their existing playstation store for everything or are we gonna be looking at a copy of the itunes store?
